The McRae Wood Shiraz from Jim Barry is a rich and dark wine with fruity and earthy scents like plums and blackberries, along with a hint of sweet earth and hawthorn flowers. It also has a touch of oak spice and a subtle taste of soft liquorice. You'll notice smooth yet strong tannins that continue until the end. Up front, it's like the typical McRae Wood style, but then it becomes more elegant with floral and spicy notes, and finishes with a classic deep flavour.
